Frederick Ravid - Chartered Financial Services, Inc.
 

Frederick Ravid is the founder and CEO of Chartered Financial Services, Inc., a Registered Investment Advisor in Colorado & Georgia with a focus on providing independent and neutral advice based on a foundation of ongoing research and long term financial forecasting. He brings a respected history of leadership as a client advocate. Over a period of more than 30 years, he has been a frequently published writer and speaker on topics of interest to Private Investors, Financial Advisors, and Financial Institutions.

Frederick possesses a diverse educational background in fields of arts, sciences, psychology, and applied mathematics. Integration of these disciplines enables him to help clients reach holistic solutions that are not only effective on a balance sheet, but also effective for client's lives and consciences.

An outspoken advocate within the financial services industry, Frederick has focused on improving end-investor's involvement in corporate governance. Working with senior officers of nationally prominent Broker-Dealers, he has helped to establish educational programs for Financial Advisors on investment sustainability and other urgent topics. He has also been recognized as a leader in the call for a Sustainable Approach to Wall Street investment practices.

Frederick Ravid created the “Cyclical Review Method,” the “CFS Price Cycle” forecasting approach, which advised clients to substantially withdraw from equity markets prior to the 2001 and 2007 downturns, and he is author “The Financial Precepts.”

Frederick worked as a Senior Product Design Mechanical Engineer for Teradyne, Inc. of Boston. His team designed complex high-technology laser and electronic test systems for use by large semiconductor fabrication facilities such as IBM. Further mechanical engineering consulting assignments included product design in Biomedical Engineering and on-board-ship Nuclear Reactor Controls. In NYC, he was a consultant at The United Nations, BBDO Advertising of Madison Ave. (formerly Foote Cone), and Chase Manhattan Bank of Wall Street.

While working on Wall Street, senior management invited Frederick to become a Financial Planner, leading him to open his practice in Atlanta in 1986. He earned the Chartered Financial Consultant designation from The American College. Distinctions of his approach to Financial Planning include innovation and a natural inclination to find answers to complex questions.

Educated at University of Chicago and The American Conservatory of Music he pursued a dual major in English Literature and concert piano performance/composition. He studied under world-renowned concert pianist/pedagogue William Browning, and later, with respected composer Hugo Norden. Under Dr. Vincent Rossi, theologian for the American Exarchate of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem, Frederick received a Bachelors of Arts in Theology.

Frederick has two children, enjoys family life, sailing, bicycling, camping, research and writing. He remains an avid musician and performing artist, sponsored by major music and media companies. In his creative moments, he is involved in directing production of music and documentary film projects, and was Founder of Steinberg Institute, which supported 375 media studios in over 20 countries.
